Map data

Easy Route plans routes on map data built from OpenStreetMap, the map of the world made by its contributors.

What the apps download

To plan on roads, the apps download map data from tiles.geteasyroute.com for the areas you plan in, one map area at a time. This map data, a set of routing tiles, is a database derived from OpenStreetMap. It was built from the OpenStreetMap planet file with Valhalla, the open-source routing engine, version 3.8.3-master, and its dataset id is 188985903.

The licence

OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License 1.0 (ODbL). The map data the apps download, as a database derived from it, is made available under the Open Database License 1.0 too.

Getting the database

On request to support@geteasyroute.com, we will supply the derived database, or the method and tools used to build it: the Valhalla version and configuration, and the OpenStreetMap extract it was built from. This is the offer section 4.6 of the ODbL asks for.

A mistake in the map

OpenStreetMap is edited by the people who use it. If a road is wrong or missing, you can correct it at openstreetmap.org. The fix reaches Easy Route when the map data the apps download is next built from a newer copy of OpenStreetMap.
