What it works out
You tell it who to visit this week, which days each vehicle works and its hours, and where every route starts and ends. Easy Route decides which day each visit goes on and what order to drive them in. It fits in as many visits as your hours allow, with as little driving as it can find.
It takes into account:
- the days each vehicle works, and its start and end times;
- how long each visit takes;
- clients you see every few weeks, in the weeks they are due.
A visit that won’t fit is left out and named, with the reason, so nothing quietly goes missing. It doesn’t plan around appointment times, live traffic or what a vehicle can carry.
Drive times on real roads
Drive times come from a routing engine that runs on your phone, using map data for your area that Easy Route downloads when a plan needs it. It measures the drive between every pair of places on real roads, in both directions, so one-way streets and the long way round a river are counted as they really are.
A state-of-the-art routing algorithm
Even a week of 14 visits can be put in order in more than 87 billion ways, far too many to try one by one. Easy Route uses a state-of-the-art routing algorithm that searches through a huge number of possible plans and keeps improving the best one it has found. After a few seconds, you get a strong plan you can drive.
Private, and works offline
- All of the planning happens on your phone. There is no account, and your client list is never sent to us. Looking up an address does use Apple’s or Google’s service; the privacy policy says what is sent.
- Once the map data is on your phone, it plans with no connection.
